Iran and South Korea have signed a sports agreement, extending Tehran-Seoul cooperation in various aspects related to sports.

The contract was signed between the Iranian Deputy President Mohammad Aliabadi and South Korean Minister of Culture and Tourism Kim Jong-min.

The agreement allows Iran to send its sports specialists to attend conferences in Korea and vice versa.

It will also give both countries more elbowroom in transferring players to and from Iranian and Korean teams.

Aliabadi, the head of the visiting delegation to South Korea who is also the chairman of Iran's Physical Education Organization (IPEO), is scheduled to meet Dr. Chungwon Choue, President of the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) on Friday.

The Iranian official also plans to visit Sang-Am stadium in Seoul by the end of his three-day visit.
