
4 years after the invasion of Iraq, US toll still rises.
Another American soldier has been killed and four wounded by insurgents in an explosion in the northern Iraqi province of Salaheddin.
The soldier who was conducting a military operation in the area, died of sustained wounds from the blast, said the US military.
According to an Associated Press count, the soldier's death raises the US military toll to at least 3,726 since the beginning of US invasion of Iraq in March 2003.
